Train the Brain: What Your Brand Guide Is and Why It Matters
Your Brand Guide is the most important thing you set up inside My Vision Assistant. It is the brain of your brand. Once it is trained, every email, every social post, every image, every chat response, and every workflow MVA creates pulls from this brain. Train it well and everything else just works. Skip it and nothing sounds like you. This guide explains what the Brand Guide is, what it captures, and why training it thoroughly is the single best investment you can make in MVA.
What you'll learn:
- What the Brand Guide actually is (and why we call it the brain)
- The 8 things the brain captures about your business
- What the brain powers across MVA
- The two ways to train your brain
- Why training it thoroughly is the most important step in MVA
Your Brand Has a Brain
Here is the simplest way to think about it.
Every business has a personality. A way of talking. An audience it serves. Colors and fonts that look like it. Beliefs about what works and what does not. That whole personality lives somewhere — usually inside your head, scattered across your notes, or buried on your website.
The Brand Guide is where all of that lives in one place. Once you set it up, MVA can pull from it any time it needs to generate something for your business.
That is why we call it the brain. Train the brain once, and from then on it knows who you are, who you talk to, and how you talk to them.
What the Brain Captures
When you train your brain, MVA captures 8 things about your business:
- Your customer avatar's goals and desires — what they want, what they are reaching for, what their dream outcome looks like.
- Your customer avatar's pains and fears — what is keeping them up at night, what they are afraid of, what they are trying to escape.
- Where they are right now — the starting line. The current state of the person you are trying to help.
- The transformation they want — the difference between where they are now and where they want to be. The bridge you are helping them cross.
- Your positioning — how you show up as the solution to their problem. Why you are the right person to help them.
- Your value propositions — what you actually offer and why it matters.
- Your brand and identity taglines — short, repeatable phrases that capture how you sound. You pick from options MVA generates for you.
- Your brand colors and fonts — the visual side of your brand, so every image MVA creates looks like it came from you.
That is the brain. Once it knows all of this, it does not have to guess.
What the Brain Powers
Here is why training it matters so much: the brain feeds everything else MVA does.
- Workflows — every automation MVA builds for you uses your brand voice and your offers.
- Emails — every email written for you sounds like you, talks to your audience, and points to your value propositions.
- Social posts — every post matches your voice, your positioning, and your audience.
- Images — every visual MVA generates uses your brand colors and fonts.
- Chat responses — anything you ask MVA in chat pulls from the same brain.
- Plan and offer references — when MVA writes about your offers, it uses the language you set up.
The pattern is simple: train the brain once, and from then on every piece of content MVA generates sounds like you, looks like you, and speaks to the right person. Without the brain, MVA is just guessing.
Two Ways to Train Your Brain
You have two options to set it up:
Option 1: Scan Your Website
If you already have a website, MVA can scan it and pull out most of the information automatically. Faster, easier, and a great starting point if your website actually reflects your brand. You will still get to review and adjust what it captures.
Option 2: Answer 3 Questions
If you do not have a website yet (or your website does not reflect your real brand), you can train the brain by answering three short questions. MVA uses your answers to build the full Brand Guide from scratch.
Both options end up in the same place — a fully trained brain ready to power everything else in MVA.
Why You Should Train It Thoroughly
Here is the rule: the brain is only as smart as you train it to be.
If you rush through it, you get generic content. Content that could belong to anyone. Content that does not sound like you.
If you take the time to train it well — pick the taglines that actually sound like you, fix anything the scan got wrong, fill in the gaps — every piece of content MVA generates from that point forward is on-brand. Forever. Without you having to rewrite anything.
This is the move: spend 30 to 60 minutes training your brain thoroughly. You will save hundreds of hours every year not having to rewrite content to make it sound like you. Stop trading your life for a paycheck. Train the brain once and let it work for you.
What Comes Next
Now that you know what the brain is and why it matters, here is what to do:
- Train your brain. Walk through the wizard step by step.
- Connect your partner system account. Your brain needs to talk to the system so MVA can push content into your account.
- Start using MVA. Once the brain is trained and the system is connected, everything else opens up — workflows, emails, social posts, images, chat.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to train the brain before I can use MVA?
Yes. Without the brain, MVA does not know who you are or who you talk to. Everything else in MVA depends on the Brand Guide being set up first.
How long does it take to train the brain?
Plan on 30 to 60 minutes if you want to do it well. You can scan your website in a couple of minutes, but reviewing what MVA captured and adjusting it to be truly accurate is where the time goes — and it is worth it.
Can I update the brain later?
Yes. Your brand will evolve, and the brain should evolve with it. You can edit any part of your Brand Guide any time.
Can I train more than one brain?
That depends on your plan. The Free and Starter plans allow a limited number of brands. The Solopreneur plan gives you unlimited brands, so you can train a separate brain for each business or brand you run.
What if my website does not reflect my real brand?
Use the 3-question option instead. The scan is a shortcut for people whose website already says what they would say. If your website is outdated, generic, or off-brand, training from scratch is the better path.
Does the brain replace me?
No. The brain is a tool. You are still the one running the business, going live, and making the calls. The brain just stops you from having to rewrite your voice into every email, post, and image. It saves your time, not your strategy.
Will the brain learn over time?
The brain uses what you train it on. The more accurately you set it up at the start, the better the output. You can update it any time, but it does not change on its own — you stay in control.
