    How to Train Your Brand Voice

    Your brain has a voice. The Brand Voice is how every piece of content MVA writes for you actually sounds — your word choices, your rhythm, your phrases. This article walks you through training your Brand Voice using your own writing samples, your own URLs, or even a custom AI prompt if you already have one. Once it is trained, MVA stops sounding generic and starts sounding like you.

    What Brand Voice Is

    The Brand Voice is the part of your brain that controls how MVA sounds when it writes for you. Not what it says — what it sounds like saying it.

    Two coaches can teach the same lesson. One sounds warm and conversational. The other sounds formal and clinical. The information is the same. The voice is different. Your audience picks the one whose voice resonates with them.

    Train your Brand Voice and every email, blog post, social post, and chat response MVA writes for you sounds like it came out of your own mouth — not a generic AI.


    Where to Find the Voice Analysis Tab

    1. Open your Brand Guide inside MVA.
    2. Click the Voice Analysis tab at the top.

    You will see two main sections on this tab: an Advanced: Custom AI Prompt area at the top, and the Brand Voice Wizard below it. You can use either one, or use both together.


    The Two Ways to Train Your Brand Voice

    You have two paths, and you do not have to pick just one — they work alongside each other.

    Path 1: Paste a Custom AI Prompt (Advanced — Optional)

    Best for you if: You already have a custom AI prompt you have been using somewhere else (maybe ChatGPT or Claude) that captures your brand voice perfectly. Drop it in here and MVA will use it whenever it generates content for you.

    Path 2: Use the Brand Voice Wizard

    Best for you if: You do not have a custom prompt, or you want MVA to learn your voice from your actual writing. The wizard analyzes content samples and URLs you provide to figure out how you naturally sound.

    You can do both: The Advanced Custom AI Prompt works alongside any analyzed content samples. If you have a great prompt AND a folder of writing samples, use both for the strongest result.


    Path 1: Paste a Custom AI Prompt

    This is an optional power user move. Skip this section if you do not have a custom prompt already written.

    1. On the Voice Analysis tab, find the Advanced: Custom AI Prompt section at the top.
    2. Paste your custom prompt into the text box.
    3. Make sure your prompt includes your brand voice instructions — personality traits, writing style preferences, vocabulary guidelines, phrases to use, phrases to avoid.
    4. Click Save at the top of the page.

    Your custom prompt is now part of your brain. Every piece of content MVA generates will run through this prompt.


    Path 2: Use the Brand Voice Wizard

    This is the path most people will use. Feed MVA examples of how you write, and it figures out your voice on its own.

    You have two ways to feed it samples — paste content directly, or point it at a URL.

    Option A: Paste Content

    1. In the Brand Voice Wizard section, click the Paste Content tab.
    2. Paste in a piece of content that sounds like you — an email, a blog post, a social media caption, a newsletter, a community post. Any writing that genuinely reflects your voice works.

    Option B: Add URL

    1. In the Brand Voice Wizard section, click the Add URL tab.
    2. Paste a URL where your voice lives. This works for:
      • YouTube videos (the wizard pulls the transcript)
      • Blog posts you have written
      • Articles you are quoted in
      • Public newsletters
      • Any web page with your writing on it

    Mix the two: Some samples can come from pasted content, others from URLs. MVA does not care where the content comes from — only that it sounds like you.


    Add Multiple Samples

    One sample is the bare minimum. Multiple samples are way better.

    1. After you add your first sample, click + Add Content Sample.
    2. Add another sample (paste content or add another URL).
    3. Keep adding samples until you have enough variety for MVA to spot the patterns in how you write.

    More samples, better understanding. Aim for at least 3 to 5 samples covering different types of content — short posts, longer pieces, casual writing, more professional pieces. The variety helps MVA learn what stays the same in your voice no matter what you are writing about.


    Analyze Your Brand Voice

    1. Click Analyze Brand Voice at the bottom of the wizard.
    2. MVA will read through every sample you provided and pull out the patterns — your tone, your sentence rhythm, your phrasing, your word choices.
    3. When the analysis is done, your brand voice is locked in.
    4. Click Save at the top of the page to sure everything is stored.

    From this moment on, every piece of content MVA writes for you uses your trained voice.


    What Happens After You Analyze

    Your trained Brand Voice is now part of your brain. Specifically, it is the part that controls how content sounds.

    That means:

    • Every email MVA writes uses your voice
    • Every social post sounds like you
    • Every blog post MVA generates from your live trainings keeps your tone and phrasing
    • Every response in Vision Assistant chat matches how you would say it

    You stop having to rewrite anything to "make it sound like me." MVA already does.


    Tips for Getting the Best Results

    1. Use samples that actually sound like you. If you have content written by a ghostwriter or VA, do not use it. Use your own words only.
    2. Mix content types. Short captions, long-form blogs, casual emails, professional pieces. Variety helps MVA understand what stays consistent in your voice no matter the format.
    3. Keep samples recent. Your voice evolves over time. Three-year-old content might not match how you sound today.
    4. Update over time. Come back every few months and add fresh samples. Re-analyze. Your trained voice should grow with you.
    5. Combine with a custom prompt if you have one. The two work together. A great prompt plus great samples beats either one alone.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    How many samples should I add?

    At least 3 to 5 is a good starting point. More is better, especially if you can cover different content types (long, short, casual, professional). MVA only learns from what you give it — feed it well.

    Can I use someone else's content as a sample?

    No. The whole point is to train MVA on your voice. Using other people's content will pull MVA toward sounding like them, not like you.

    What if my YouTube video URL does not work?

    Make sure the video is public (not private or unlisted) and that it has captions or a transcript MVA can pull from. If a URL fails, try a different one or paste the transcript directly using the Paste Content option.

    Can I edit or remove a sample after I add it?

    Yes. Open the Voice Analysis tab, find the sample, and edit or remove it. Re-analyze your brand voice after any change so MVA stays in sync.

    What if I do not like the brand voice MVA generated?

    Add more samples that better represent how you actually sound, remove any that do not, and run Analyze Brand Voice again. The voice MVA produces is only as good as the samples you give it — feed it different examples and you will get different results.

    Do I have to use the Advanced Custom AI Prompt?

    No. It is optional. Most people use the Brand Voice Wizard with their own content samples and get great results. The custom prompt is for advanced users who already have a tuned prompt that captures their voice perfectly.

    How often should I retrain my brand voice?

    Every few months, or any time your voice noticeably changes. Add fresh samples, remove anything outdated, and re-analyze.

    What is the difference between the Brand Guide and the Brand Voice?

    The Brand Guide is the full brain — your customer avatar, transformation, positioning, value propositions, taglines, colors, and fonts. The Brand Voice is one specific part of the brain that controls how content sounds. Together they cover the what, who, and how of every piece of content MVA creates for you.
